Friday Time

We leave for Brooklyn next Thursday, so last night I decided to start packing. This will be the first craft show I'm flying to, so I've been nervous about fitting everything in and didn't want to wait to the last minute to pack. I have two large suitcases and I think I just about have everything packed, including displays. I will have to take a carry on with my clothes in it, thank goodness summer clothes don't take up very much room.

We will have a couple extra days to hang around NYC and we'll definitely be hitting up the Whitney Museum, which is my all time favorite art museum. Boyfriend really wants to head out to Ellis Island and maybe Statue of Liberty. I can't wait to eat some pizza...I hope to eat at least one piece everyday! What are your favorite things to do in NYC?

I also got my Etsy shop up and running today after a very long time in vacation mode.
I've only listed these two yum yums so far, but there's more to come.

  1. Make sure to walk the Brooklyn Bridge, preferably at night. It's amazing. For the sweet tooth, stop by Junior's in Brooklyn. Their cheesecake is perfection. Chinatown has amazing places to eat - particularly the ice cream shop - and Purl Soho just moved into a new space filled with yards of fabric and ridiculous amounts of yarn.

So jealous - I big red heart the big red apple.

  2. Thanks for the suggestions! Purl Soho sounds like it's right up my alley!
