Moving Blog

We moved into our new townhouse a week ago and finally got our internet hooked up yesterday. It has been a long week of camping out at Starbucks to use their internet. Here is a little recap of our move from Tulsa, OK to Bloomington, IN.

Luckily, after a week our place is looking much better than this but we are still trying to find places for everything.

If you are in the market for a bookcase let me make a suggestion, DO NOT buy this bookcase from Ikea. I will say, though, that the 2nd time we put it together it went a little more smoothly than the first time.

This is what happens when you wash cheaply made rugs. Boyfriend put these in with a load of his clothes and now there are little poofs of orange inside his pants pockets.

Weekend Blog

Friday was a great mail day, I got my Odd Bunny from Koo & Poppet!  I love opening packages and this one was wrapped up so nicely, I had to take a picture.

"Beru" came with a name tag and a few likes and dislikes so we could get to know one another.  I think we're gonna be good friends because I too, dislike cheaters and I think crackers are pretty alright.  

Even boyfriend is quite taken with Beru.

He has already found his favorite chair.  

We are moving in a week and a half and we finally got our act together and started packing.   We made it our goal to take apart our Ikea book shelf and pack all of our books today.  I love books, but today I kind of just wanted to throw them all in the garbage instead of pack, move, and unpack them.  We did find some good small boxes to pack them in so they won't be too heavy, there will just be 45 boxes of books to carry.  Oh what fun!

This bookshelf was a complete bitch to put together and I was really dreading taking it apart but it ended up taking less than 10 minutes.  The best part was that boyfriend and I were still speaking at the end of the process.  Seriously, if you want to test the strength of your relationship, try assembling Ikea furniture together.  

Bloomington Here We Come

A while back boyfriend found out that he had been accepted to Indiana University and last week he got his student loans finalized so that means we are gonna be moving to Bloomington in 2 weeks and no, not one box has been packed.  

A few weekends ago we drove to Bloomington to check it out and look for an apartment.  We signed a lease last week and have a town house waiting for us.  In the complex there are 2 pools!!   After a long day of unloading a moving truck I know what I'll be doing.  

Bloomington is quite a bit smaller than Tulsa but its seems pretty cool.  This is lame, but I'm really excited about all the restaurants.  There is a street downtown where all the houses for about 2 blocks have been turned into restaurants....Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, yum yum yum!  Also there is a vegetarian/vegan place that's pretty awesome.  Yes, so I love food.
